Creative Switch Off? Here Are 5 Tips To Get It Back On

Hey guys, happy new year. So, have you ever wondered how the seemingly well-put together individuals out there do it? How they somehow manage to be extraordinarily creative, have their act perfectly outlined and ready for a seamless execution, in record time? Yes? Well, I thought as much, and it turns out you're not alone on this train of bewildered fans. Now, before you go off thinking that there’s a wide gap between their abilities to get their creative juices flowing, and your ability to get yours spurring you towards success, it's really not the case. It turns out that from time to time everyone experiences a creative block. Even the best writers experience what they call a writers block. So, before you hang up your determination gloves and quit trying to deliver that stellar presentation, or write that book with the potential of being a best-seller, or just achieving your personal goals, discussed below are 5 Tips to get your creative switch back on.

1) Get Your Mind Off Things With Some Work Out.

You've probably been sitting at that desk or in that room thinking on what next to do in order to break through this mental fog hindering your best work yet from coming through. Well, how about some exercise? It turns out that research shows that getting your blood pumping due to some work out, sends oxygen to your brain and of course gets some blood to that same organ, thereby making it possible for it to give you brilliant creative ideas. That said, you don't necessarily have to hit the gym, although you can if you want. Personally, I love music. So, I'm often willing to dance a little. Just something to get that body moving and help me move from the dominant thinking of my left brain,  to the creative side of things. Also, it turns out that the brain does its best work when it’s not trying.

2) A Change Of Environment Can Be The Catalyst You Need.

How about a walk in the park, or getting your feet into that white sand on a beach while you take in the luxurious view of the ocean and enjoy the company of fellow beach and nature lovers, Or how about you just simply pop in at a friends place for a healthy distraction? Just anything that gives you a change of environment. Stepping out of your regular environment, to somewhere else, even if it’s for just a stroll helps in creativity. You never can tell, when taking that walk, a bright idea can pop up.

3) Get A New Pair Of Eyes.

Here, I'm talking about having someone whose opinion you usually find useful, provide you with a fresh perspective on what you're working on. That may just be the thing you need to get your creative juices flowing again. After all, some of the best works in life take teamwork, and some positive suggestions here and there.

4) Embrace Risks And Feed Your Curiosity.

If you're looking to truly grow your creative abilities, then get out of your comfort zone. Let your curiosity run free and wild. Take on new topics, research on things that you've never really given time to. You never know what you'll find and how it will come in handy sooner or later. When you do find something interesting, reward your curiosity.

5) Conquer The Fear Of Failure.

So, what if you put your hands to something and you don't get the results you desired? That doesn’t make you a failure. If anything, it makes you better than the person who didn't try. What's more, even if you didn't get a win, you got a lesson which will teach you how to do it better when you venture out again. So, dare to believe by murdering the fear of failure.

There we have it. 5 tips to get your creative side up and running. It's a new year after all, and you have a little over eleven months to let people see your light. So, get cracking and have yourself a brilliant year ahead.
