5 Tips For Creating Your Reality
Tips For Creating Your Reality
Hi lovelies. So, if you have that fine and successful specimen of a male or female friend, that you always tease and call things like damn "kiss the girls/boys and make them cry or baby boy/girl for life" then you most likely have a slight insight into where my head is at while I'm writing these lines Lol. Well, that said. This is not exactly a post to get you to reminisce over flirtatious moments. I started that way to say this.
Some days ago, I sat in my office and was attending to some matters when my phone beeped. It was a WhatsApp message from a "kiss the girls and make them cry" male friend who has lived most of his life outside the shores of Nigeria. He sent a link to a Twitter thread and was asking if the stories on the platform are real. Apparently, the page is filled with saddening stories from Nigerians who have had it tough making ends meet within the country. I responded that unfortunately, the stories are real, and i even went on to share a bit of my personal experiences with him.
Going on, today on my way home I couldn't help but notice a bitter fight between a tricycle (popularly known as Keke) driver and a passenger. The driver was visibly ready to beat up the man who had entered his tricycle and was refusing to pay the transportation charges. His utterance “oga, pay me my money make I dey go” had anger written all over it, and I saw his hands form a fist as he addressed the passenger. It occurred to me that these men may in fact be family men who are struggling to provide food for their families and pay the bills.
Now, as individuals, if we are asked what really the source of our problems is, many of us will play the blame game. The source will either be failed systems, or employers who never pay on time or who point blank exploit employees and pay so little.
However, after pointing fingers, what next? How exactly do we remedy the situation to make things look better for us? Can we create our reality? YES people. I BELIEVE WE CAN! Having said that, right here we will be looking at some tips for creating your reality.
1) Explore Your Potentials.
In truth guys, how often do you wake up on a Monday morning grumbling and wishing that the week would breeze by, so that you can ease into the comfort of the weekend? Quite often right? If you're in the group of Monday haters, then permit me to say that you’re pretty much the figurative 'fish out of water' and you’re out of touch with your potentials. Really, no one ever begs the fish to swim. The moment that it’s in its natural habitat just sit back and watch that fish go! In the same way, if you discover what you love to do without feeling any form of pressure, then it won't make a difference to you if it’s Monday or Friday.
Upon discovering your potentials you can explore ways through which you can engage such potentials to create for yourself an impressive success story.
2) Understand How Money Works.
I’m a die hard fan of men like Dan Lok and Robert Kiyosaki. Also, I've always felt a pull towards money handling, and business seminars. Now, it’s one thing to work for money, and it’s quite another thing to have your money work for you. Principles like savings and investment are fundamental for attaining financial freedom. While working your office job, nothing stops you from saving a percentage of your cash and then investing same in good investment platforms that offer reasonable returns. Investments like mutual funds, treasury bills and crowdfunding are low risk investments that bring reasonable profits depending on how much that you put in.
3) Build Your Skill Set.
Truthfully guys, if you desire to succeed, you should avoid missing out on opportunities that will improve you. Learn new skills and give yourself the opportunity to have multiple streams of income. Also, aim for, and attain mastery in your field of practice. The goal is for you to become remarkably good at what you do.
4) Attend Networking Events.
If anything is true, it's the saying that no man is an island. So, when you can, attend events and network with people within and outside your field. You never can tell how many doors will open through such contacts.
5) Have A Good Social Capital.
Here's the drill about social capital. The more people you impress due to your possession of virtues like integrity in business, politeness, or your desire to always offer people the value for cash spent, the more likely it would be for your positive reputation to spread. Good reputation equals a big client base. Poor reputation of course means a small client base. Remember that!
So, that's it guys. The tips for creating your reality are inexhaustible. However, for lack of time, I've discussed just five above. Now, all you have to do is to go on and take deliberate steps towards reaching your goals. Let's enter the new year ready to conquer!
